One of the questions we get asked most often is how we decide which brands deserve a place in our stores. The answer is surprisingly simple. We don’t look for brands. We look for stories.
Somewhere between factory visits, trade shows, late-night conversations and countless cups of coffee, we’re always searching for makers who genuinely care about what they create. Brands with a point of view.
For Autumn Winter ‘27, we’ve added six of them.
Six brands from different corners of the world, connected by craftsmanship, authenticity and an almost stubborn dedication to doing things properly.
Cash & Barba
The journey starts in Japan. Cash & Barba is one of those rare discoveries that immediately feels like a BALLPARK brand.
Based in Japan, the label specialises in exceptional knitwear made from carefully sourced Mongolian cashmere, combining some of the world’s finest natural fibres with the meticulous production standards Japanese manufacturing has become famous for.
What impressed us most is the restraint. Nothing feels excessive. The silhouettes are clean and the focus remains exactly where it should be: on the quality of the material and the perfection of the construction.
Frizm Works
South Korea continues to produce some of the most interesting menswear brands on the planet and Frizm Works is one of the finest examples.
Taking inspiration from military garments, vintage workwear and outdoor clothing, they reinterpret familiar shapes with modern fits, exceptional fabrics and an attention to detail that borders on obsessive.
There’s a confidence to Frizm Works that we find incredibly appealing. They understand heritage without becoming nostalgic.
Heimat
If Germany had a national knitwear champion, Heimat would probably be it.
Born from a love of maritime traditions and classic workwear, the brand produces some of the most substantial and beautifully constructed knitwear we’ve encountered in years. Heavy wool, timeless colours and silhouettes that feel as relevant today as they would have fifty years ago.
These are garments built for cold mornings, windy coastlines and decades of wear. Exactly our kind of product.
Manifattura Ceccarelli
Few brands embody authentic Italian outerwear quite like Manifattura Ceccarelli.
Produced in Forlì, Italy, the collection draws inspiration from traditional hunting, fishing and outdoor garments, combining natural materials with extraordinary craftsmanship. Waxed cottons, wool linings and practical details create jackets that feel both rugged and refined.
Every piece seems to carry the spirit of adventure without trying too hard to prove it.
Nigel Cabourn
Some designers follow trends. Nigel Cabourn spent more than fifty years proving that they don’t matter.
The British designer built an extraordinary career researching historical military, exploration and workwear garments, often travelling the world to study original pieces and reconstruct forgotten details with remarkable accuracy. Long before heritage became fashionable, Cabourn was already documenting and preserving its history.
Sadly, Nigel passed away earlier this year. His influence on modern menswear, however, remains difficult to overstate. Many of the ideas, silhouettes and references that have become commonplace today can be traced back to his relentless curiosity and dedication to authenticity.
We’re incredibly proud to introduce the brand this season. Not simply because the clothing is exceptional, but because every garment carries a piece of the passion, knowledge and character that Nigel Cabourn devoted his life to.
Poten Caps
At first glance, a cap may seem like a simple thing. Poten proves otherwise.
Made in Japan and inspired by vintage baseball caps, every detail is carefully considered. The shape, the construction, the materials and even the way the cap ages over time reflect a level of craftsmanship rarely found in something so seemingly straightforward.
Why These Brands?
Because they all share something that matters to us. None of them were created to satisfy a trend. None of them were designed around algorithms, marketing strategies or short-term relevance.
Instead, they're built on expertise. On factories, makers and decades of accumulated knowledge.
In a world moving increasingly fast, these brands remind us why quality still matters. And that's exactly why we're excited to welcome them to BALLPARK this Autumn Winter season.
