The House of Ballpark

Seven years ago, I started as Ballpark as a studio. A place where, driven by our love for brands, clothing and entrepreneurship, we worked on other people’s ideas. From identity and collections to product development and production.

Over the years, more and more started to happen. We launched our own brands, opened Ballpark Stores and continued to grow the studio along the way. There was never a grand master plan, but somehow all these different worlds naturally started to connect.

And that, essentially, is what we now call The House of Ballpark.

A house where creativity and entrepreneurship come together. Where we build brands for others, while building our own businesses at the same time. Where an idea can start at the drawing board in our studio and eventually end up as a product in one of our own stores. And where we increasingly want to use the knowledge, network and infrastructure we’ve built over the years to make new things possible.

Because we’re far from finished.

Over the coming years, we want to continue building The House of Ballpark. And some of those plans are already becoming quite concrete. For Ballpark Store, we see a clear path for growth, with new stores in cities such as Maastricht, The Hague and Haarlem. At the same time, Ballpark itself will increasingly develop into a brand of its own, taking a more prominent place alongside SHATSU.

And then there is the Ballpark Boat House: a place that brings together another side of what we want Ballpark to become. Less about traditional retail, more about community, hospitality, creativity and spending time together. A place for ideas, dinners, meetings, events and unexpected collaborations. In many ways, it captures exactly what The House of Ballpark is about: creating environments where people and ideas can come together.

But growth for us isn’t simply about opening more stores or selling more products. We want the house itself to become richer. By bringing in more great ideas, knowledge and entrepreneurship. By building new brands, creating new collaborations and perhaps starting businesses we don’t even know will exist today.

And for that, we’re looking for remarkable minds.

People who are exceptionally good at something. Who see things differently. Who want to create and build. Maybe they’ve been carrying an idea around for years. Or maybe they have knowledge and experience that fits perfectly with what we’ve already built.

I increasingly believe that the most interesting companies aren’t created by one person coming up with all the answers. They happen when you bring remarkable people together, give them space and start building something together. That’s also why we’re not only thinking in terms of jobs. It could be a collaboration, a partnership, a new brand or something we haven’t even found the right structure for yet.

After seven years, we have a strong foundation. Our studio, our stores, our own brands, the Ballpark Boat House, an amazing team and a network I’m incredibly proud of.

But the house is far from finished.

So if the idea of helping us build the next chapter of The House of Ballpark sounds interesting, I’d love to grab a coffee.
