SHATSU x Dimi Jeans – Hyaku Fatigue – Selvedge Denim

Somewhere between a pair of jeans and a classic military fatigue pant, this is one of those trousers that should become more personal the longer you own it.

For this SHATSU x Dimi Jeans collaboration, we took the straightforward silhouette of a traditional fatigue pant and gave it a completely different character through the fabric: a Japanese selvedge nappy denim from Collect. The denim has a noticeably irregular, textured surface, giving it depth without making it feel overly rugged. And, as with any good Japanese denim, the real story starts once you begin wearing it.

The fit is regular and relaxed, with the characteristic large patch pockets at the front keeping things functional and uncomplicated. Rather than turning it into another five-pocket jean, we deliberately kept the fatigue construction intact, letting the denim do the talking.

Woven in Japan and made in Portugal, bringing together two places we have a lot of faith in when it comes to making good clothes.

Wear them clean, wear them hard, cuff them or don't. They'll figure out the rest.
